Skillspark trained a State Bank of India team at Skillspark’s Pattom office in Trivandrum in one eight-hour offline session. Weekly reports needed 3–4 employees to copy data from approximately 1,000 branches by hand. Using simulated data and only Excel, the one software SBI permits, Skillspark built an automated dashboard. Reports now generate by changing the date range.

About the client

State Bank of India (SBI) is a public-sector bank. Skillspark delivered the training for an SBI team at Skillspark’s Pattom office in Trivandrum, Kerala.

The team has highly complex analytical requirements. It analyses large volumes of data received from approximately 1,000 branches, including loan-related data, pending loans and other operational metrics.

The results are presented in weekly meetings. SBI’s master data is confidential, so this case study describes the team’s challenges and Skillspark’s solution without using or showing any real SBI data or branch figures.
